TRAINING PLANS

Training plans are built on the Area 3 Endurance system that trains your body to race with the most strength and efficiency as possible. The majority of workouts will focus on establishing a solid foundation of strength, power, and mechanics (Train the Brain). Long distance racing is not solely an endurance sport, it is a strength endurance sport.

For all training plan, athletes must be consistent and be able to follow a structured plan.

The Swim Stimulus Booster is designed for athletes who want to improve their swim fitness and strength. The program is built on the A3E system that has helped our athletes gain triathlon fitness and strength. This is a program that is swim focused, but will also include a few planned bike and run workouts.

This is a 1-week program that is typically repeated in a training block of 4-weeks. It is intended to propel you into a focused and successful season, but can also be used within a season to focus on a specific discipline.
The Bike Stimulus Booster is designed for athletes who want to strengthen their bike. The program is built on the A3E system that has helped our athletes gain triathlon fitness and strength. This is a program that is bike focused, but will also include a few planned swim and run workouts.

This is a 1-week program that is typically repeated in a training block of 4-weeks. It is intended to propel you into a focused and successful season, but can also be used within a season to focus on a specific discipline.
The Run Stimulus Booster is designed for athletes who are looking to train their "triathlon run." The program is built on the A3E system that has helped our athletes bridge the gap from their standalone run and triathlon run. This is a program that is run focused, but will also include a few planned swim and bike workouts.
